WHY WE’RE DOING THIS
As the recent COVID-19 pandemic is restricting the movement of those at risk, TrashTalk will be offering a volunteer-run grocery-deliver program for any west island resident in need during this time of crisis.
People in need include, but are not limited to,
- those who are above the age of 65
- those who have symptoms of covid-19 and their caretakers.
HOW IT WORKS
You will be placed into a team of three. All of the members will pick up the food together inside the grocery store. One member will drive, and the other two will do the drop offs. If you already have a team, write your team-mate’s name in the “why do you want to volunteer with TrashTalk” section. If you do not have a team, we will assign you one.
Deliveries will take place on Thursdays and Saturdays. You will need to be available 9:30am-5:30pm. You will have the option to volunteer on one day or both days.
All of the volunteers will have to go through a safety training seminar. We will be keeping up with the Quebec Government’s health information and will be asking volunteers to follow them as well.
